Domaine Rouge Bleu Dentelle
The grapes for this cuvée comes from the old vines located at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail which is a mountain range that defines Southern Rhone vineyards. The wine is fresh and juicy, cherry and blackcurrant flavors on the nose, slightly smoked.
Domaine Rouge Bleu Mistral
Mistral is a local name for the fierce dry winds that blow through Rhone Valley. It is responsible for region's climatic characteristics. This wine is made from old vines and is an ode to the best reds of the Rhone with a deep purple color and aromas of dark red fruits and notes of spice. The palate is mouthfilling and intense without heaviness but plenty of the fat and concentration one would expect from old Rhone varieties. The finish has long-lasting flavors of red fruits.
Domaine Les Aphillantes Cairanne L'Ancstral Du Puits
A great choice when looking for a Southern Rhone red, this wine is better than most of the Chateauneuf-du-Pape out there. Rich, ripe fruit, dried herbs, ripe cranberry, this is great stuff!
La Souteronne
Heve Souchart created this domaine in 1993, five hectares of old and ancient vines, between 50 and 100 years old. A gamay from the Northern Rhone: buoyant black fruit dominates the palate followed by smoky minerality. Great.
Souhaut Syrah
Herve Souhaut created this domaine in 1993, 5 hectares of old and ancient vines, between 50 and 100 years old. This syrah is made from 30 year old vines. Very pronounced nose - violets, a bit of coffee, bacon fat, black cherry and wet stone minerality. While the aromas are repeated on the palate, vibrant fruit flavors dominate and leads to a soft tannic finish. Winemaking Details: Unfiltered, Low SO2 Added
