Burle Cotes Du Rhone
Ripe red and black fruit courtesy of the grenache, violets with hints of stone courtesy of the syrah, gentle acidity mid palate, then a structured finish.
L'Indigine Sulfureux Rouge Yelen
Although his name does not appear on the label, this wine is made by Eric Texier. We've heard that his sons asked him to make wine for them that didn't give them a headache, and he responded with this cuveé, which contains no added sulfur at all. Dark purple in color, the nose shows smoke and a bit of black olive. This is followed by black berries, black pepper and minerals on the palate. Medium-bodied and quite savory, it finish long with plenty of acidity.
Domaine de la Patience Box Rosé
This rosé was racked by bleeding and opening the base of the vat while the wine is still light in color. Traditional vinification without clusters, aged in concrete vat with minimum sulfur. Rose peony color with a great aromatic red-fruit richness. The Grenache offers freshness on the palate with a persistent nectar on the nose. A crisp and fruit-forward wine. Winemaking Details: Unfiltered.
Domaine Monpertuis Chateauneuf du Pape
A great, balanced, delicious Chateauneuf which is drinking surprisingly well right now. Rich red fruits, a hint of minerality and a touch of dried herbs. Another great wine from our friends at Rosenthal.
