This is a fantastic Brunello. Beautifully balanced, and drinking very well right now. This is made in a classic style, with silky tannins, plenty of rich fruit, and just a touch of oak. This is the real deal!
Le Ragose Amarone della Valpolicella
This is a classic, beautifully made Amarone. It isn't as thick and cloying as many of these wines can be with a nice backbone of acidity to balance the rich, ripe fruit. That said, it's still a powerful, intense wine with concentrated black cherry fruit and a long, long finish. Winemaking Details: Following harvest the grapes are laid out in single layers in small wooden boxes where they will slowly dry until January or February.
Luigi Ferrando Carema "Etichetta Nera"
A Barolo by any other name...This is a beautifully crafted expression of Nebbiolo from the very northern reaches of Italy. Still tightly wound, it has a hint of anise and truffle on the nose, followed by bright cherry fruit. It's beginning to show leather and earth which will develop further is it ages. This wine is drinking well now (decant it for an hour or so before drinking), but will be even better in five years. A true gem, and a wine we're proud to carry.
