Wine: Dessert, $30 - 45

This is a fascinating wine made in Uruguay from with 100% tannat grape but in a similar style to how Barolo Chinato is made in Italy.  The grapes are hand harvested at high maturity and macerated with a secret blend of roots and spices.  The nose and palate boasts chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, dark cherry and creme brulee.  Chocolate is one of the trickiest things to pair with wine...but fear no more.  This is it.
