Fleury Carte Rouge Brut
Biodynamic since 1989, Fleury was the first grower in Champagne to convert to the practice. This is an elegant, full-bodied Champagne made entirely from Pinot Noir. It displays a lovely red fruit and cream nose, with a refined structure and deep, ripe red fruits lingering through the amazingly long finish. This is one of our favorites at any price, from a small grower who has been making Champagne since 1895.
Marcel Deiss Grand Cru Altenberg
Deiss Family settled in Bergheim in the heart of Alscae in 1744. The current winemaker, Jean Michel Deiss was born into this family of winegrowers. He is somewhat controversial but the essential figure in Alsace. He is an advocate for the region and its potential to make quality age-worthy wines but he believes in vienyard expression over varietal expression hence his wine is labeled by its name of the site which only recently the French government came around to agree.
